This kit is terrible at fit and finish and as it replaces the parts you will touch it just isn't enough. The magnetic part containing the cross or dial is too high above the controller. It doesn't stick to either part tight enough to not come loose during play. First of all, this kit is absolutely amazing and is easy to install into your controller once you know how to take it apart. They seem to be rubbing against the inside of the front shell or something. In fact, it doesn't always return to dead center immediately. Magnets are great. I stumbled across this button set while looking to polish up my DS4 and clicked it after comparing it to other sets. Installation was pretty easy, but only because I've been opening up the controller lately to clean it and try to play around with the capacitive/conductive band. Unfortunately, I have very mixed feelings about this product. Two things are wrong with the mod kit. For starters, the standard DS4 D-Pad sits just above the controller's faceplate, maybe 1/8 inch. The magnetic from this kit is too big for me, about 3/8" to 1/2" if I remember correctly, which puts it on the same height as the joysticks. I have the same problem with joysticks.
