Excellent blanket. I wanted something that could be used year round, light weight and light enough to store on the bed under the duvet so I could take the duvet on and off with ease. That fits the bill. It's warm but not hot (it's very comfortable) - feels silky/smooth. He has enough weight to feel good. It is also very attractive when used alone on the bed (I don't care if the bed cover is tied to others). My only complaint and the reason for deducting a star is the width of the king-size duvet. It barely hangs over the sides of my king bed (an extra inch would be great). Besides, I'm very happy with it. Update - I've upped the star rating to 5 after reading other reviews about the king sized duvet being rotated 90 degrees - so it's perfect for a king sized bed (if that doesn't bother you the stripes are across and not positioned along). . I would have preferred the lines to match my sheets but it doesn't really bother in the dark and I cover them with a bedspread when I make my bed. I have washed this duvet several times (front loading washing machine) and tumble dried on the gentle cycle and it still looks new after a few months. I would definitely buy this again.
