Review on Sturdy Hardwood Thread Rack - Holds 60 Spools & Mini-King Size Cones For Sewing, Embroidery, Quilting & More! by Nicholas Serafini

Well made but Not for Serger Cones

This ‘little’ rack is well made but too small for SERGER sized cones. This rack would fit Small Embroidery cones or regular spools. It has short, closely placed dowels. I can get some of my cones to stay on it by placing them upside down, but I also have to skip every other dowel as well. I have hundreds of threads to organize; so this will work very well for the individual spools I have; but sadly have to keep searching for something sturdy enough for the Large Cones. The cross bars have a wee bit of wiggle to them; but I do have heavy thread cones on them- which it is clearly not meant for.

Pros
  • Makes changing thread colors easier and faster
Cons
  • The rack may require frequent adjustments to accommodate different sizes of spools
