Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent product, the best quality.

โ€œI decided to change 7 Plus to X,โ€ I think now is the right time for this. Therefore, I will compare with the Plus version, whoever thinks about replacing it, I hope to get useful information. With the seven, I departed for more than 2 years, and I canโ€™t say that I have accumulated a lot of complaints about this smartphone. It just looks like a dinosaur against the background of contemporaries, with its huge frames at the top and bottom of the display. In addition, it is very bulky and weighty, especially with a branded silicone case. At work, I often have to use the navigator, and I will tell you - to put this elephant in the holder, while not blocking part of the view, is not an easy task. But the problem is not even that, but to remove the smartphone from the holder, quickly answer / print something and hang it back. Also, with the onset of cold weather, the need to unbutton a jacket and remove gloves to answer incoming notifications became a real problem. Of the minuses in everyday life - it takes a very long time to charge. There is no fast charging, and even with the power supply from the iPad, the process takes about 2.5 hours. Itโ€™s better not to take the standard charger out of the box, it will take forever until the battery reaches 100%. What I noticed not immediately, but I was surprised - although the speakers are stereo, the upper one was deliberately made quieter. What for? To be corrected in the next generation. And to top it off, there was a slight backlash of the display (clicks) when twisting. Apparently the sizing of the display in some places began to move away. Also, Apple Pay didnโ€™t always work, for example, I donโ€™t even have time to bring X to the terminal, but the payment has already been accepted, I had to apply 7 at all angles to work. The rest of the 7 Plus is a great smartphone, especially now that the price has dropped significantly. No complaints about speed, camera, display - everything is on top. If you are not confused by the dimensions, take it! Now let's move on to the top ten (due to restrictions on the number of letters, I described everything in the pros and cons above). : To sum up: I have had all generations of iPhones, and this one is by far the best.

Pros
  • - Face ID is definitely more convenient, and due to almost 100% response, it is faster than Touch ID of the second generation. Touch ID only wins under ideal conditions (clean hands, clean sensor). An additional plus is that Face ID recognizes you and shows notifications, enters password-protected applications and does everything on the fly, unlike Touch ID, which has to be pressed. - Display + TrueTone, uniquely puts on the blades of the IPS matrix of old iPhones. Who would not say that, but the difference is felt. Compared with 7 Plus, the display is original, the smartphone was not repaired. What surprised me the most was "white", which looks blue when compared to the tens display. But dozens have their drawbacks, at certain angles the display starts to turn green. About the fact that black is really black, I think it makes no sense to talk. - New gestures. Very comfortable. On the 7 Plus, I had to swipe the left corner of the screen to initiate multitasking, which was prevented by the silicone case, and as a result, the gesture was not required. iPhone X is spared from all the disadvantages of its predecessors, all gestures are simple, understandable and additionally flavored with taptik-engine - working with multitasking is a pleasure. - Performance. I did not think that I could be surprised - 7 Plus is quite smart. But with 10, it feels like it's just playfully clicking apps and rendering iOS 12 animations. - Dimensions. I didnโ€™t feel slighted at all after the 7 Plus screen. Plus or minus is the same. But the body itself! Ten easily jumps into the pocket. And if you drive at night on the navigator, fixing the smartphone on the bracket to the windshield, then the effect of a screen โ€œfloatingโ€ in the air is created. - Autonomy. Oddly enough, ten lives longer and charges faster than 7 Plus. Although on the seven the battery shows 87% of the resource. - The percentage charge was removed in the blind, for me this is a plus, since I still hid the value of the% battery. Now everything is at hand. - Camera. Plus or minus like on 7 Plus. - Monobrow - to be honest, it does not catch the eye at all. After a couple of days, you completely forget about it.
Cons
  • - Face ID - in a horizontal position, you need to contrive to make it work (given that your face is in a vertical position). A striking example is when the smartphone is in the bracket and you need to launch the navigator. The problem is solved either by a slight turn of ten, or (as I did), we change the password from 6-digit to 4-digit. Face ID, unlike Touch ID, does not get stupid, and in the event of a failure, it immediately rolls out a menu with a passcode. Yes, a 4-digit password is less secure, but kamon, you need to go through 9999 combinations (and the iPhone will time out after several unsuccessful attempts) before someone guesses your 9812. You can leave a six-digit one, it will just take a few seconds longer.
