I've been on my feet without a fall for many years, but before that I had very early versions of the Mizuno shaft, almost 15 years ago. Now that I'm in my 50's, my heels and tendons aren't flexible enough to wear 3mm running shoes on asphalt and concrete without sagging. Although I still love trail running shoes, the days of running in them are over. I took a chance and bought them direct from Amazon without testing them and they work great. There is only one slight movement which I was afraid would cause blisters or at least some skin issues and I was willing to either get it back or use bandages or body glides to avoid problems. Surprisingly, however, there were no problems at all for runs up to 8.5 miles. Excellent running shoes. However, I am concerned about a little chafing on runs longer than 8.5.
