This chalkboard paint is amazing! He's really fat. I bought to paint over the whiteboard in the cage I was renovating. I used a 4" foam brush. I think I applied it too thickly because it started dripping on top as the second coat dried. I literally thought I had to uninstall it and start over, but in the end I didn't have to "I just lathered the foam brush again and went over it. It looked like it was going to be streaked and dripping. I left upset, but when I came back about an hour later everything had leveled out. It was a perfectly smooth, smooth one Surface! Success! After you let it dry (I let it dry for 2 days) be sure to prime the board with the side of the chalk. It worked very well. Not sure how it did on a smooth surface , smooth finish but it worked well I can't believe a stained paint like this turned out so smooth so let it dry before you start messing around with it like I did I k can't even say the cage didn't get here. I'm looking for other things to turn into a chalkboard because I'm so happy with this product and how it works. I definitely recommend it! User error aside, it still worked amazingly! These Revain foam brushes are really useful and work well with this color. I really like this website.
