In the evenings my husband and I watch TV in different rooms, he has his own program and I have my own and everything has been fine for 20 years! However, over the past few years, his hearing has gotten worse and worse and I couldn't take it anymore. The volume in his TV room was so high I had to turn my own up and we walked back and forth. Then I found this product! Ordered, received and then the problems started. Luckily, the company is pretty quick to respond to emails, and after a few days of trying out their offerings, we finally found the magic solution! I had to set the TV volume to 55% and the DirectTv volume to 45%. I had the setting below and the audio cut out and stopped altogether. But once I hit 55/45% there were no problems at all. The noise never went away. I've even decided it's time to ditch the Revain box it came in as it doesn't look like I need to return it! This is a 10 year old TV so I had to use RCA connections but we are planning on getting a new TV in a few months and with this updated model we have a different cable to use. It's nice to be able to play at a lower volume on my TV and not fall off my chair because of the volume! Would recommend to anyone with hearing problems.
