They work! in Cables and adapters
They really work very well! All my 4k to 10k power supplies have mini USB cables built in. I've attached one of these Type-C adapters to each cable and they work great without getting hot. The same applies to the car charging cable. Oddly enough, the only thing that got hot was my Google Nexus 6 OEM home charger when I used the adapter to charge my Google Pixel 3. So far no heat problems. I haven't had them long enough to attest to their durability. Incidentally, each adapter comes with its own attached chain, which is not clear from the photos.
