I bought this cute little squeaker for my new nephew to keep him entertained when he comes to visit. He is old enough to grab things, put them in his mouth and throw them on the ground. He can't make the toy squeak, but I'm not going to complain about that. If I make him squeak, his eyes will widen and he'll smile, and then he'll do this childish thing where his arms and legs go crazy with excitement. . Every part of this toy is soft, so a child who's still learning to control their hands and arms won't hit their head or face with them painfully. Disadvantage: Soft material does not stay clean and cute for a long time when the child likes to put things in their mouths. The white parts will not remain white and the toy is not machine washable. Cleaning stains with a cloth and mild, diluted dishwashing liquid works very well. Since the toy is only used occasionally in my house, I think it will easily last long enough for my nephew to outgrow it.
