Review on NuTone 87546000 B Unit Assembly Ventilation by Mark Lowery

I bought this item because the apartment I recently bought had this model installed on the bathroom ceiling. It was clogged with 10 years of moldy dirt, shutting off intermittently and making a horrible squeak when turned on (the moving parts around the motor were also dry and covered in mud). I bought it and did it myself instead of hiring a contractor to install a newer model. The product arrived in new condition with no damage. Assembly instructions are included in the box. Since I was replacing an existing motor, all I had to do was remove a few bolts and vacuum and clean. It's been a few months and it always starts the first time! No excessive squeaking! Notes: - When replacing the device, keep the old screws! The new block may not contain screws! - If you are sensitive (or not) to mold, mildew, or dust, I recommend wearing at least safety glasses, gloves, and a dust mask to avoid infection in your eyes, skin, throat, or nose. I am sensitive and had to look at the work station most of the time and fidget with dirt while cleaning and drop something on my face while working on the installation. I wore protective gear and didn't feel sick or irritated. It only costs a few dollars, but it will save you a few days of feeling down! - There are many sharp edges in this part! Wear at least cotton gloves to avoid injury!
