Review on Cascade Mountain Tech Aluminum Collapsible by Brandon Addison

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I tested them, Style AT

First, I'll give my personal rating based on cost and personal experience after 3 months on the Appalachian Trail. Before heading out I never used trekking poles so I went cheaply with my first set to test the waters. For the price they work very well. They are light. These are locked stands. They're pretty strong. After two months of my trail, one turned off. I was walking down a very steep and rocky part of the AT in the rain. I'm 170lbs and carried 45lbs on my back and these poles, even though one of them was bent, kept me from getting really tangled. Now I understand there's a reason people spend money on expensive sticks. They are not covered by the guarantee. Has the meaning. At the time of purchase, they cost less than $25. I currently have a set of black diamonds but these bars have shown me the importance of having a set no matter the price. It is better for Poles to have and not need than to need and not have. If you are looking for decent and very cheap trekking poles I would highly recommend them. Although I'd love to try the charcoal personally.
