I tested them, Style AT

First, I'll give my personal rating based on cost and personal experience after 3 months on the Appalachian Trail. Before heading out I never used trekking poles so I went cheaply with my first set to test the waters. For the price they work very well. They are light. These are locked stands. They're pretty strong. After two months of my trail, one turned off. I was walking down a very steep and rocky part of the AT in the rain. Disappointed with wear and quality.

I don't usually write "bad" reviews but I'm disappointed enough in them to at least share my experience with others considering these sticks. I use these poles for Nordic walking and have only used them twice since they arrived (a week late despite Prime): The poles themselves are well constructed, easy to adjust and non-slip, which is amazing. So far I've used them for two walks, about 4.5 miles each, on a tough course for running, the boots are already worn and there is no tread left (see…

Perfect Price

I'm postponing reviewing these poles until I've used them for a while. I've had them for over a year and they are perfect. Quite often I get something wrong with devices and immediately think about upgrading (even if I convince myself not to), but I just don't see the need to upgrade from these until one day they break ( which I doubt will be any time soon - they seem really robust).
