Review on Cascade Mountain Tech Aluminum Collapsible by Jhonathan Bagwell

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Disappointed with wear and quality.

I don't usually write "bad" reviews but I'm disappointed enough in them to at least share my experience with others considering these sticks. I use these poles for Nordic walking and have only used them twice since they arrived (a week late despite Prime): The poles themselves are well constructed, easy to adjust and non-slip, which is amazing. So far I've used them for two walks, about 4.5 miles each, on a tough course for running, the boots are already worn and there is no tread left (see pic) and I don't expect them to last more than one or two uses. For a person who walks an average of 4-5 days a week, living in one pair of shoes for a week is ridiculous. Also, the strap on one of the bars doesn't fit securely into the bar, and the rubber insert holding the strap (see picture) pops out of the bar about every half mile - very frustrating to keep stopping and adjusting. I understand these are not Leki sticks but of course a higher quality was expected. I will consider buying replacement boots but not sure if alternative brands(?) will fit these sticks. Anyway, this is my experience. A Cascade representative came across this review, please advise on boot replacement - thanks.
