It's easier to use a water pen than Melissa and Doug's version. The pictures are cuter too. Sponge pen is strong and light for a 26 month old
Water pen is BETTER and EASIER to "color" because the water pen is a hard sponge that absorbs water from the inside of the pen, making it gets wet and soft but firm. My 26 month old LOVES it and used Melissa & Doug's version - brush style and scratched the surface of the page sometimes leaving white marks. This version of GALT Water Magic is EXCELLENT! Worth the price and the pictures are way nicer than Melissa & Doug.
