Review on πŸ–¨οΈ Xerox D35 Color Scanner: Powerful USB Scanner for PC/Mac with Network Capability by Kavon Wiley

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The newest models start to experience serious paper feed problems within a few months.

WARNING! I have used the 3125 and its predecessors for many years. Historically, they have been stable and high-performing scanners, especially those under $350. BUT. We have bought 6-8 of these in the last 18 months. Each of these batches had major paper feed issues for 3-6 months or less. If you clean the rollers and carefully adjust the very thin paper platen arms, this can be corrected, but becomes unusable at ever shorter intervals. Replacing the pressure pad with the supplied spare part also only helps for a short time. It's so bad that most of my users refuse to use a scanner and want a new one even if it costs them good money. The latest models clearly have a serious problem with the feed roller and platen system. Xerox support knew about it and even sent me to test the new scanners. They all do the same thing for several months. So I have to recommend that you try something else even if they otherwise seem good.
