Big pretty leaves that make my betta happy

Bought these to add to my 5 gallon betta. The pH in my tank is slightly alkaline so I wanted to add more organic matter to lower the pH and provide darker areas for the fish. First I put a few pieces in boiling water, then tore them up and threw them into the aquarium. Looking to the future, I removed a couple of pieces when changing the water and now just rinse with purified water, discard and throw into the aquarium. Some parts sink while others swim and my fish seem to love hanging on the leaves wherever they are in the tank. The package contained the promised number of sheets and they were all very nice, large and whole. I will definitely buy it again if I need it, although this pack will last me for many months to come.
