EDIT: Original Review Date: August 7, 2018 This edit update was posted on June 5, 2020. I just wanted to quickly say that this monitor is still working, I've had no issues with it, literally no issues, and I love it as much as the day I received it. The reason I wanted to upgrade is that there are currently more options in this price range. However, I strongly recommend considering this monitor when purchasing, it's almost 2 years old and still perfect! Beginning of August 7, 2018 ORIGINAL REVIEW: First, let me say that a computer costs $400-$500. /Gaming monitor is by no means cheap. I was specifically looking for a 240Hz G-Sync monitor to take full advantage of my overclocked GTX 1070 Ti. And if you look closely at what the market currently has to offer, you'll come to the same conclusion as I did that there really aren't many options to choose from that offer everything I was looking for. Apparently I had 5 options, one of them had neither G-Sync nor even Free Sync. I almost bought the monitor and I mean I went to the 'complete order' page almost 10 times just to look at it, it was an alienware 240hz display but with free syncing just because of the cheap price in these times. .To be 100% honest I've seen this monitor from the start I just told myself this isn't even an option because I've never had a ViewSonic before and just before I was about to hit the full order button for to press Alienware monitor, within 30 seconds I said forget it, added this to my cart and clicked 'complete order' asap to avoid further hesitation and let me tell you that I am very am glad i did it. Right out of the box the colors are a bit off and to be honest it doesn't look that great. But once you calibrate it and all, it's an extremely beautiful TN panel. I love everything about this monitor, my ONLY complaint about it which is entirely subjective is the menu. I find the menus a bit boring and annoying, not difficult but annoying to navigate. But after recalibrating the settings and everything, I haven't had to go into the menu since, so I'm not deducting a star for that. If any of you are looking for exactly what I was looking for, please do yourself a favor and just get this monitor. It's the cheapest 240Hz G-Sync monitor out there, but honestly it's pretty darn good and looks like the most expensive. As I said, I almost bought a free AW-Sync monitor due to the low price, but for only $75 (at the time) I settled on this 240Hz G-Sync View Sonic. This is seriously outrageous. G-Sync costs a lot more than just an extra $75, even hundreds. Good choice, just buy this monitor and enjoy yourself and your wallet. There's no such thing as perfect, but dammit, this thing is about to push the limits of perfection. I really hope this helped you make a decision. Feel free to ask me a few questions if you'd like, I know this is a big purchase and an important decision. But well, the thing is so future-proof that I won't need a monitor for a long time! Thanks for reading, I hope it helped :)
