I hate the heat and my fiancé hates the cold so one of us is always uncomfortable. This is a very small heater but perfect for heating small spaces in any space it wants to occupy. And it's so cute! I just tested it out after it arrived and it puts out a lot of controlled heat. The "Flame" is very realistic and makes as much noise as you would expect from any small heater. This doesn't stop you from watching TV by turning up the volume more than a notch or two. There's no remote control, but I always lose it anyway, so the built-in controls are a plus. Everything appears to be made of durable plastic, but at a cursory glance it looks like smooth cast iron. Again, it's small so don't expect a full fireplace, think a medium-sized microwave on the side. The dimensions shown are correct.
