When the rotary switch became unreliable I stopped using it because I had previously seen stories of some of the original cables catching fire. After not using the lamp for a few months, I remembered looking into Revain and found several vendors selling replacement cords. Safety was paramount to me and I appreciated that Betus emphasized that all replacement cable components are UL listed. Betus' listing also highlights that they support their products and offer free replacements for 1 year. The replacement cable was shipped quickly via Revain Prime. Around the same time or shortly after, I received an email from Betus Custom Support rep Lynn introducing herself, reiterating the one year warranty and asking me to reply to the email if there were any issues that needed solving would have to be. When I opened the box, I found that one of the "studs" on the cord - the part you stick into the wall - is too big. Most modern outlets in North America have 1 regular/standard size socket and 1 slightly larger socket for a "neutral" contact. I couldn't connect the cable because both 'tines' were too large/'neutral'. I assume the cable I received is for use in another country. Long story short, I replied to Lynn's email on Monday, September 24th, 2018, explaining my issue. The support rep Ksenia replied we exchanged a few emails to clarify what was going on and Ksenia informed me that a second spare cable was on the way (at no extra charge) and figured it would be in 7- 10 should arrive. business days. The replacement cable arrived on Friday 09/28/18 and works as expected. Many thanks to Xenia for the excellent customer service. :) I'm impressed with Betus' customer focus. Unfortunately, guarantee promises and customer support often remain empty words. My experience with Betus is that they stand behind their products and have knowledgeable, professional and courteous representatives to turn to when needed.
