This yarn is NOT 100% cotton.
Incorrect description. I bought the yarn because it was supposed to be 402 cotton. Neither the box nor the packaging stated 402 cotton. I did a burn test and it stuck together instead of turning to ash like cotton. It was nice to have the right spools and spools, but NOT 100% COTTON. I gave it 3 stars for the color choices paired with the matching spools but don't buy if cotton thread is your main reason. I haven't sewn yet, so I don't know its strength.
