Great idea but not stable enough to work well
My boys are 4 and 6 and they loved this toy. It's a great concept, but it's very difficult for small children to put together, so an adult or older child should help. Even then, it's hard to build something stable. If there was a way to make the base more stable, this would be a better toy. It often fell apart fairly easily no matter how we built it, and that led to a lot of frustration. Also, many items' design doesn't make sense in terms of the orbs flowing through the channels. There are many marble products on the market and it would be wise to research whether there is a sturdier set available before purchasing this one. I bought it locally without doing it but wish I had now.
