I have 2 of these. One for my husband who travels and one for home. I can convert the entire DVD in 2 steps (mpeg2 then dvix), the final file is around 89-129MB depending on the length of the movie. Pay attention to the width size, otherwise the file may not play. 160-144 pixels is good. 15 frames per second reduces the size. dr Divx is an older program but works fine. The clear picture on the screen is excellent, the sound is good, the battery life is up to 2 films. So far on a 2GB card (I got a new egg for $18) I've stored 8 movies, a variety of music and about 120 pictures. Make sure you reduce the image size, otherwise it can take up to five seconds for zvue to adjust it for you. Images can be played back as a slide show. Great settings. Great customer support. Answer immediately at night WOW. There were problems updating the firmware and the player crashed (due to my fault). I was panicking because I was going to give it away for Christmas which was in 2 days and one day support gave me a 128mb card with a new firmware update and the problem was fixed. I was able to package and ship the finished video with the movies in action. My only complaint is that their Zapp software doesn't convert files small enough. The film with their software weighs 500-600mb. So keep in mind that you are using third party software and again you need to keep an eye on the pixel width in order for it to render correctly. Drag the converted files to the appropriate file via USB on the formatted card. I only use the Zapp software to format the SD card. If you use their file transfer software, they will want to convert them and then increase the size. If you are not tech savvy the software works fine, just make sure you have a 4Gig card.
