Makes spring clip removal easier

I used to use pliers to remove spring clips. This always resulted in swearing when the pliers slipped off the clamp I was working on trying to twist it and slide it down the hose. My new AAIN Professional Clamp Pliers has turned swearing into joy as it makes removing and replacing spring clamps easier. The slightly serrated, concave jaws of the pliers hold the spring clamp firmly in place no matter what angle I squeeze the spring clamp tabs together. No more slipping off the spring clamp tabs when trying to twist the clamp and slide down the hose. The ratchet lever locks the jaws of the pliers to the lugs of the spring clamp and holds them in the open position when the clamp is moved or removed from the hose. The lack of a feature surprised me. These clamp pliers have no spring in the scissor joint of the pliers to fully open the jaws. While the eye of the clamp opens the jaws on its own after releasing the ratchet lever, it does not fully open the jaws of the hose clamp pliers, making removal a bit tricky. Opening the jaws manually by holding the ratchet lever in the unlocked position is possible, but not as convenient as with spring-loaded scissors. Maybe I'm picking at the little things because the bottom line is that changing the radiator and fuel hoses on my car is a lot easier with these pliers than without. These pliers make it easier to remove the spring clip; I should have bought a pair a long time ago.
