Before installing, check the inside of the filter
Quality air filter media and mesh. I was disappointed when I looked in the filter and found rubber shavings. The whole purpose of the filter is to keep debris out of the turbocharger, engine, etc. A photo shows the inside of the filter/coupling. The area inside the case appears to show machining marks from the manufacturing process and the cutting was rough, apparently resulting in rubber shavings. The other photo shows a larger loose piece that was pressing against the filter's end cap when I took it out of the box. Carefully examine the inside of the filter and clean it thoroughly before installation.
