Review on Smart Column Yandex New Station Mini - smart column with Alice (with watch), black onyx by Adam Kulesza ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Satisfactory product quality, good price.

=== First of all, this is a station for managing a smart home. It is foolish to compare it with Chinese columns for 1.5 which "sound better", but do not know how to do anything else. The fact that the sound has also become suitable for listening to music is a fact, but the sound is worse than any ordinary speakers for 5K. For those who think that Station Mini 2 costs like Home Pod Mini. In the US, prices are without taxes. Ya. Station Mini 2 (regular) without VAT: ~5K rub or $70 Home Pod Mini without VAT: $100 === On the first day I was going to write an angry comment, because. I was angry that only a month ago I bought 4 columns of the first version . And here you are, the second version came out with all the Wishlist . And now there are 8 mini stations in the apartment . But again, not without jambs . The notorious tongue on a speaker with a screen is square, on versions without a screen it is already redesigned (round) + the equipment for a speaker without a screen is better (there are additional cable clamps). It seems that you are buying a device and you want everything to be in the same style . But there will be slightly different design stations around the apartment. The problem is not critical, but it's a shame that it is. But on the other hand, I have a limited version)))) From the new year, everything will be rounded. At first I was disappointed by the increased size of the station (it seemed huge), but after a day I got used to it and fell in love with it. Annoyed by the adjustment in steps of 0.5 . At the same time, the screen displays 05, 10, 15, 20, etc. But it would be possible to add one LED? To make it 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, etc. At the same time, you cannot say "Make the volume one and a half" or "Make the volume 05" with your voice (you can only do it manually). In general, the logic with this adjustment has become completely illogical. Happy with the purchase, despite the cons. I put 4 out of 5 in the hope that they will fix the shortcomings with AUX. If they don't fix it, I'll change my rating to 3. Key cons: - positioning problem (when a station from the next room answers) - you need to shout so that Alice hears during the music

Pros
  • - The sound quality has increased significantly compared to the first version. The sound became more voluminous and clearer. The difference in sound is like picking an acoustic guitar: comparing 10K and 40K guitars. It seems the volume is the same, but the sensations are completely different. - Added 5 GHz - Versions with and without screen - Simplified initial setup (now the station is immediately displayed in the list of devices with a proposal to configure, before you had to search for it) - Removed gesture control (although I bought the first because of them, I thought it would be convenient . ). But it would be better if they made an adjusting ring than touch buttons kmk. It would be straight in the style of the older (sister? :)) and much more convenient, because. it would not be necessary to feel where this plus sign or minus sign is (I'm waiting in the 3rd version). - Noticeably less slippery on the table than the first version. - AUX input is no longer under the power cable
Cons
  • - Problems with the AUX output, it's sooooo quiet. I hope the problem is treated with firmware. There is a problem on all 4 columns of the second generation. - You still have to shout for Alice to hear while the music is playing. In tandem with the module, do not shout at all when watching a movie, which is why I turned off this mode - Sometimes (not always) there are clicks from the speakers when listening to music at medium volume. Already on 2 of the 4 columns the problem surfaced. - At one of the stations, the Internet terribly fell off at first, although at the same time there was a station of the first generation nearby and it had no problems (it continued to respond stably to commands) . Now it seems that the problematic station has swelled up, dumps very rarely began to happen. - Not always accurate positioning with voice commands (sometimes stations from neighboring rooms react instead of the one you spoke towards). - I would like more LEDs so that all sorts of clouds and such things are displayed. But in general, it's not so bad. Looking forward to this in the 3rd generation. - Maybe the price. A thousand would be cheaper, and in general it would be a fairy tale. - I was upset by the lack of USB-C, and then I thought . Why is it? If the station is still stationary, and I don’t gnaw the cable :)
