I bought these to connect to my TV. My TV speakers suck. Even turning the volume up to 50-60 it was so quiet. I hooked up a portable speaker that worked fine for a while but thought it was time to update it. My god, why didn't I do this sooner?! That thing has bass! And quality sound. I hardly ever need to turn the volume up to 20. I noticed that the TV shows (maybe it depends on the network etc, I don't know) are noisy. Some films are fine at around 25-35, but other films require higher settings. I haven't gone over 40 yet. Movie nights are awesome now! Definitely recommend if you want to upgrade your TV and don't want to blow up the speakers. Speakers are easier to replace than TVs.
