I don't have any noticeable downsides other than the fact that the mop blade slips out of the groove every time I run it over the window or wipe away excess moisture with a towel. I'm tempted to stick it on, but when I need to change the blade I can't. Not sure what the solution is. I'll think of something, but I don't have to. That should not be a problem. The manufacturer's quality control specialists had to identify and correct this problem before offering it for sale.
