Save Yourself 2 Days Of Research & Buy This Bag

All in all, get this bag if you won't mind the 6 pound weight that it is by itself. I did a TON of research (2 whole days worth) and even ordered 2 bags to compare. I kept this one and used it and I'm so glad that I did. This bag works perfectly. Background: I'm tiny. I'm about 5'7" and weigh 115 pounds. I'm a professional photographer that was going to Costa Rica for a week. I was looking for a bag that I could carry-on the plane, that would hold everything that I needed for a week long vacation and a professional DSLR camera. I wanted something that had easy access to my camera as I traveled, was sturdy, had pocket options and was still small enough for me to carry comfortably.I was able to fit all of my carry-on size toiletries, clothing for a week in a warm country, two surrongs (as towel substitutes), a pair of flip flops, a headlamp, a deck of cards, an umbrella, 4 extra waterproof bags rolled up, a Nikon D4 with a 24-120mm lens, a spare battery and cards, the rain guard it came with, and snacks in it and still had extra space. I didn't use the extra cube to save room and put all of my clothing in the bottom, with my extra things and camera in the top compartment. The bonus to this is that when the camera was out (which was a lot of the time) it was lighter on top and gave extra room to carry things when I needed it on the go.While traveling, it was a little heavy for me, but I am tiny. The padding is excellent though and the chest and waist straps are helpful. I was able to fit more things in it that I collected as I traveled and the extra security straps were helpful for clamping sneakers or wet bathing suits to. The straps are long and after adjusting them, I taped them so that they wouldn't get caught on anything, but it is great to have the versatility. The back straps are also adjustable vertically to work for different heights of people.Although there are a lot of pockets exposed on your back, I felt safe carrying this in busy locations. The two main compartments have two extra safety snap straps that make it secure and I didn't put anything important in the top 3 exposed compartments. (They were actually perfect for easy access to my toiletries while going through airport security and for storing the rain cover.)This bag is really protective and durable and because of the black color, I didn't mind setting it on any surface while traveling. I didn't have to worry about my things getting damaged or the bag tearing. I had to use the rain guard a few times and nothing inside the bag got wet. I love this bag and plan to use it a lot in the future. It has a ton of space and versatility with the layout of the velcro sections, straps, pockets and compartments. I highly recommend this Evecase bag and the price is on point!
