I love this stand. It is very solidly built, rock solid and beautifully designed. When typing, there is no teetering or wobbling of the platform, keyboard or monitors. Adjusting from sitting to standing is very easy, and the mechanism is fairly smooth and doesn't require much force to lift. Raising or lowering takes only a few seconds. The height adjustment is variable - the device locks into place at the selected height when the spring-loaded handles on the left and right are released. This means you can easily raise it to any height that suits you. I'm just over 70 inches tall and I prefer to be close to the max height. It's not overly intrusive in the lowest position, and I found I didn't have to adjust the monitor's height at all when going from sitting to standing and back again. The stand weighs around 70 pounds but is easy to set up as it comes pre-assembled. Simply unpack and place on the table, remove a few more packaging materials, done. I also originally ordered the Ergotron WorkFit Dual Monitor Kit (97-904) because I was concerned that the stand would be unstable when raising and lowering my two monitors (24" screens), but I have my order per set canceled because the monitors sit very well on the stand and feel quite secure An added benefit of this arrangement is that I can move the monitors to adjust their distance from my eyes and their relative angles, which I couldn't do if i were to install them on a stand with one thing i would like to point out is that the measurements on the ergotron website imply the unit is 23.25 inches deep but the keyboard tray protrudes an additional 4 inches so the Total depth about 27 inches is a problem for me because my table is 30 inches deep. I would also say that the color is more anthracite than black, but that's okay too. I am very satisfied with this stand and can recommend it unreservedly.
