Inserts are rubber not metal
The grip looked great felt great until I was a block from home. The grip will then begin to rotate freely over the shifter. While the knob held tight to the rubber insert and didn't come loose, the insert didn't compress the threads on the shifter well enough to prevent it from rotating, even though I used the smallest insert. Taken down, thrown away and restored the old ballpoint pen that fitted perfectly.
