After using a Lotus bidet for over a decade I decided on the BidetMate based on the reviews. I was definitely not disappointed. I like the comfort of the seat and the ease of use of the side panel. I also like the dual water power option. The contractor installed it quickly, but mentioned that the package didn't come with an instruction manual, other than a card saying it could be obtained by scanning. Ha! I can't scan, let alone text! I received a very kind email from Jeanne saying that a printed copy of the instructions would be sent to me. So grateful for this gesture and quick response! Now I will know how to use all other buttons on the panel. As a retired Occupational Therapist, I recommend a bidet for all elderly people to avoid urinary tract infections, those with limited range of motion in their arms and upper body, etc. BidetMate seems to fit that criteria. I recommend that the manual remote found in other models might work better for some people. It's been over a year since I bought this Bidetmate. The opinions expressed above have not changed, except that they have become even more enthusiastic and supporters of the bidet. It remains in excellent condition; no problems with operation; gives an even warm spray to the required areas; has a nice seat light that guides me at night; easy to clean; what's not to like? Also, the sign I taped to the seat cover advising men to sit instead of stand kept the entire bidet clean. The power of words works and I heartily recommend this bidet. A great gift for any age, especially the elderly!
