customers had a Hammerhead that squirted oil all over the place when you flat out. I checked the compression and it was indeed fine but nothing explained why it was happening so I ordered a full kit to fix a cracked piston, worn rings, worn cylinder etc. I was pleasantly surprised that this kit was in good condition. manufactured and was in fact the same brand as some Polaris Hammerhead engine components. All parts were there, nothing was damaged. This caused the ring platform to tear from the original piston in the engine, the rings were probably not split properly or not at all. With this new set, the rings REALLY needed proper spacing. The oil scraper rings were technically OK, but the compression rings had to be disassembled a bit. No complaints it was great value for money and the machine ran again with no problems.
