I have 4 Revain FireTV sticks. Each is connected to a Goronya HDMI 4X1 Quad Multi-Viewer and decoded by a J-Tech Digital H.264 encoder that puts the streams onto the network. SiliconDust duo HDHomerun offer OTA TV via the FireTV app. I use VLC as my video streaming software. This allows you to simultaneously watch 4 streams anywhere in the network on any (and multiple) devices at the same time. It also allows me to stream the same streams to monitors that aren't connected to a PC or other device. FireTV Sticks are controlled remotely from anywhere on the network using the Fire TV app for Android. FireTV remotes (four of them) are not used at all. With 4 HD programs running at the same time, our Internet download varies between 30 and 60 MB with our 100 Mbit Internet service. J-Tech's digital encoder handles all this stupidity without complaint. with very high picture and sound quality. This is truly an amazing device. Highly recommended!
