Review on Optimized for SEO: Maxpedition Falcon II Backpack in Wolf Gray by Marcus Loeffler

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not exactly what I had in mind, but probably perfect for the job.

I don't think I read the reviews carefully enough because I was also a little shocked by the size. People on YouTube reviewing the backpack went all out (and often added extra pockets as well) and described it as an average bag. I was looking for an average bag but it wasn't what I had in mind as average. On the other hand, I think it's suitable for my purposes, and where it seems small, it's more suitable for keeping things tidy. My last backpack before that was the Ogio backpack, which basically had one large compartment and one zipped pocket. It was designed to pack a laptop and a folder, but it wasn't the most organized package when I added things like cables, computer accessories, etc. Although my first impression of this pack was that it looked quite compact, I think that being not a college student packing textbooks and papers will allow me to better serve my current needs. I have many things that I like to have on hand when commuting to and from work, primarily a laptop and various accessories. I had a messenger bag for this, but it was a little flimsy and organizational areas were stuffed into hard-to-navigate pockets, but it had a comfy, padded laptop sleeve, which I'll be replacing with this Maxpedition pack. I can keep my laptop and a few components in the same backpack compartment, and other items like multi-tools, flashlights, pens, etc. separated and sorted by what should be most accessible. The messenger bag was really capable. They also weren't as robust, nor did they offer any real modular expansion - which is why this pack wins. I look forward to customizing it and making it so perfect for my everyday set.

Pros
  • Hands-free kit
Cons
  • Very expensive
