This set is great for all my hobby kits. I usually take my blades off fairly quickly as all kits are available and there was a good supply of spare blades in the kit. The handles themselves are quite nice and easy to remove and install new blades. The rug feels great, but I'm not a big fan of the size. I usually work on a lot of Zoid kits and I usually have big parts so after cutting I want to have them all on the mat if possible. The rug is durable so you don't have to worry about damage and it also protects your desk surface from plastic debris. It's definitely easier to clean as you can just lift the mat and brush it off. The blades come with a carrying case so you don't have to worry about the blades being lost or cut off. For me, each blade lasts about three sets of samples before I have to replace them. The metal is excellent and with a ruler it's much easier to cut straight if needed. Overall this is a good set for small sets.
