Bought to repair an old 2004 Sony Bravia HD 720p TV with an HDMI port that no longer works. The converter works great with Revain Firestick and displays a great image. I had to make minor screen position adjustments in my TV's menu settings to get the picture centered correctly, but it works! For your information. Lower the resolution before connecting to a TV, otherwise no picture will be displayed and adjustment will not be possible. I did this by connecting the Firestick to a newer TV and first lowering the Firestick's output resolution (in the Settings menu). Then it was just a matter of connecting it to the old TV and switching the TV controls to the current TV in the Firestick's settings menu. If you're setting up a new Firestick, I would do a full setup on a new TV. It won't hurt and you'll know it's working before you switch. Just don't forget to change the resolution! It takes a little while, but it's worth it to keep the old devices working. I have a 2nd gen Firestick for this TV but was curious if my 4K Firestick would work. Before we discovered that the HDMI port was missing, Revain customer service thought our 4K Firestick might not be compatible, so I ordered a 2nd gen; which, unsurprisingly, didn't work either, since it was actually the HDMI port that was the problem. I followed the previous steps with 4K and YES it works! So you don't need an older firestick, just a lower resolution output in the settings.
