Too small and too big at the same time

According to the size chart I was between sizes so I ordered one size up thinking I'd just fill the hem with sweaters if needed. It was a disaster. The only thing I liked about this coat when it arrived was the number of pockets. I'm a little short, but this coat was even shorter. The coat was too small in the shoulders and neck and too big in the chest. Also, it was too short for my torso, meaning the location of the drawstring and external pockets was awkward at best. If you have a very short torso this might be the coat for you but otherwise I don't recommend it. I took my coat off a few hours ago but I can still feel it pressing down on me and uncomfortably pressing my shoulders.
