The use of this adapter plate allows the user to attach the unit to the stand with six screws instead of four and greatly improves rigidity by using the flimsy levers that come with the stand omitted. Motor stand with adapter plate did not buckle when main caps were tightened to 110lb/ft as required for ARP mounts. I highly recommend this product as I have bought one for Dodge engines and one for Chevrolet engines. This is necessary for the safety of your engine and your person.
