Review on 🏠 Sanyo CRSR-10 Sirius Satellite Receiver Dual Kit for Car and Home by Duane Hayes

Good price, weak product

I purchased this through Sirius.com and received the receiver along with the home kit, car kit and boombox in a $120 pre-discount bundle. Sirius sound and service are top notch. I cannot praise the amenities enough. Good things. The display is clear and large. The FM transmitter is powerful and clear compared to others I've used for the iPod. Now for the bad. My biggest problem is with the receiver itself. The buttons are reminiscent of a $10 CD player. They feel very cheap, are soft to the touch, often stick and look like they break off very easily. The device probably won't last long, especially if it's moved around a lot. The only place the device will dock is the boombox (optional). (By the way, this works great.) The home kit and car kit require you to carry a separate item and connect all the wires to it. You only get one of these adapters, so you have to carry it between your home and car with the receiver. If they gave you two of these adapters (probably for less than $1) it would make the device much more functional and therefore much more valuable. It was a bad idea not to include two of these adapters. All in all, this is not a very good product. I would recommend everyone to look elsewhere or wait for Sirius to fix the gear. The service is great, Stern fan or not, but the hardware lags far behind.
