Misleading, could not deliver

I ordered this unit and waited almost 3 weeks before I had to contact the supplier. I have received a confirmation that the device has been SHIPPED. However, this turned out not to be the case. I was told that they could not provide me with this radio. I waited 30 days to find out. Thus, the process begins again in hopes that the next merchant will make money from the proposed advertised product. The device is fine, I already have it, but the dealer shouldn't be selling through Revain…

not worth it for satellite radio

I thought we'd upgrade an old mobile orbit kit and get a home kit, but this Sanyo receiver only looks better. Since there is no docking station, you have to manually disconnect the device from the car or home: disconnect power, antenna, audio jacks, etc. This is time consuming when you are in a hurry and just want to save the device to prevent theft. The home kit is limited as I've been told that my receiving antenna should be on the north side of my house (my stereo is on the south side and…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Negligible maintainability

There are no problems with Autosound

I've had this device since mid-December. I bought this product because it was cheap ($39.99), portable, and labeled as Sony. I haven't had any problems until today. Installation is easy both in the car and at home. I've been moving it back and forth between them at least 3-4 times a day and I see the connections loosen up after a while. If that happens I'll just replace the system as it was cheap, no big deal. I am very happy with the Sirius radio and the service. I've listened to regular radio

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • There are nuances

Terrible - glad it's out of stock

I bought this as a Christmas present for my boyfriend. It had everything you needed to hook up: a car kit and a home kit. He was thrilled to hear Howard Stern again when Stern returned a few weeks ago. The problems started when we started looking for a radio after Christmas. As far as I know Sirius equipment has been overhauled. However, we have learned that Sanyo has discontinued EVERYTHING related to this product. That should have been our first sign. Item DEAD after 2 weeks of use. All it…

decent product terrible product support

I ordered this Sanyo CRSR-10 from sirius.com. Definitely a good deal for the price and when I bought it it was $50 off. Basically does whatever I want (leave Howard Stern to me). The buttons could be a bit more responsive and don't feel as well made (plastic), but overall they're not bad. My problem was with Sanyo and Sirius. My set was missing one important detail – a buttoned plate. I called Sirius and they told me to send everything back (sigh). I called Sanyo to see if I could get this part

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • speed

Good price, weak product

I purchased this through Sirius.com and received the receiver along with the home kit, car kit and boombox in a $120 pre-discount bundle. Sirius sound and service are top notch. I cannot praise the amenities enough. Good things. The display is clear and large. The FM transmitter is powerful and clear compared to others I've used for the iPod. Now for the bad. My biggest problem is with the receiver itself. The buttons are reminiscent of a $10 CD player. They feel very cheap, are soft to the…

I'm warning you - stay away!

I received my Sirius set with the radio for Christmas. I used it (note the past tense) mostly in my cars. He had a great reception (at first) but unfortunately that was the only good review. Two weeks later the power switch broke so I had to pull out a cigarette. Cigarette lighter adapter to turn off. Then the fun started. The device suddenly hung up and all buttons worked. The only way to get it working again was to unplug the power and plug it back in. Then the device loses the information…

Can I give less than one star?

My wife and I bought a Sanyo CRSR-10 SIRIUS Radio and Home Docking Kit just after Christmas. The complete lack of quality was immediately apparent. Within the first two weeks, both of our car magnetic antennas broke. Reception was good during the two weeks it worked. However, the antenna wire broke at the point where it is attached to the magnetic part. Buying a replacement car antenna is more than half the price of a new receiver and kit! When I tried the devices in our house, I was very…

Complete garbage! Avoid at all costs!

The Sanyo CRSR-10 might just be the worst electronic device ever made. If I could get Sanyo to send me stars for the depraved quality of this whole bunch of junk I would give -100 stars! I got it as a Christmas present in 2004 and made the mistake of not signing up for the service until January 2006 (when Stern debuted). Big mistake! The display burned out in the first hour of using the radio at home. It's a good thing I installed the FM transmitter before this happened as I had no display and…
