Review on 🌱 Healthier Comforts Reduced Sodium Organic Pea Protein Powder (1 lb.) - Unflavored, Grown & Processed in USA, Kosher, Vegan, Gluten Free, Non-GMO, Keto Friendly - Plant Based Protein Shake (16 oz) by Megan Spencer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Only pea protein, no fillers; Odorless, tasteless as stated; Good solubility

I've been experimenting with different "protein" powders, be it collagen/beef or sea or pea/veg. I'm not a vegetarian; I want to find ways to incorporate low-calorie, low-sugar, or sugar-free protein sources into my diet. I'm in my 40's, fairly active and working on a low carb, low sugar, high protein and high fat diet. When this unflavored pea protein from Healthier Comforts popped up on my suggestion list, I was intrigued by the unflavored and low carb/sugar free aspects to try it. and the certifier is identified. It's kosher, gluten-free (natural), and non-GMO if those things are important to you. For a two-tablespoon serving, you get 60 calories, 1g of fat, carbohydrate, 14mg of sodium, and 11g of protein. Slightly more calories than some of the other powdered supplements I've used in shakes, bowls, pasta/soups/stews. But this pure pea powder product has no taste, almost no smell and is good for making various drinks/foods. Good dissolution with no floats or sticky clumps, but I mix my drinks mechanically. It comes in a resealable pouch, which I prefer to wastefully bulky half-full plastic tubes, and there's no need for the included scoop (because you serve this with a tablespoon). Overall, I'm happy with the quality and usage. This is an unflavored protein powder from Healthier Comfort Foods. At the time of writing this I was receiving 1 pound (16 oz) of finely ground powder for $25. I should have about 32 servings.

Pros
  • SIMPLE PROTEINβœ”οΈ: tasteless, sugar-free pea protein isolate with a smooth texture. Nothing more.
Cons
  • So far so good
