I am just a homeowner and need a power tool to do a variety of home repairs or a small DIY project. For the past 7 years I have relied on my affordable Black and Decker 20 volt drill/driver and eventually settled on something more powerful. After researching online I settled on a multi-head screwdriver as I've always wanted the screwdriver to be closer to the edge of the curve and still be able to turn the screw straight. Most multi-head drivers run on 12 volts and are very compact. I didn't really care about the size though as I had no problem with my old black and white which is in no way compact or stretching. Bosch is the only brand that offers an 18v multi-head driver and a brand that I can trust. This tool ticks all the boxes, brushless, 21700 battery, quality materials and construction. It's even compact in depth if you just use it without a cartridge. I got an SDS bit for it but haven't used it yet but from what I've seen online this bit converts a drill into a hammer drill and is great for medium power masonry work. The downside I can think of is that I'll have to look to the Bosch brand for other power tools now that I'm "attracted" to their 18V ecosystem. This is unfortunate as I might want to buy another brand of blower let's say a Makita blower as it offers one of the best out there. I don't want to have too many brands of batteries and chargers, especially given the bulky size of the charger that isn't easy to store. Maybe I could look for adapters.
