This is my second FD-60 as I had worn out my first. I bought a second one after much research and found that unless I wanted to buy a very expensive pro model, there really is nothing better on the market. Works as advertised and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Great for those of us who like to occasionally dry fruit or make jerky. Better yet, I can use the trays from my old device on my new one and really speed things up. Recently cooked about 6 pounds of beef. With 4 bowls, these are two passes. From 8 that's a run in 6 hours. Not bad at all and very good. Will be making 14 cans of sliced pineapple by tomorrow. About 8 bowls of sliced apples covered in sugar/cinnamon will be launched next week. All of this is basically for all my children and grandchildren for Christmas. They love it and I love doing it. If you want to try making jerky and similar, this is the right place to start! The only advice I would give is to spray the bowls with a coat of Pamm (or similar) before each use. They are much easier to clean, especially after jerking. Happy Holidays!
