2011 Audi A41 Star for defective tensioner. If it had been a customer's car and not my own, I would have been in a really bad situation. In general the kit is excellent. I had no problems with chains or guides. The oil pump chain spring tensioner and balancer shaft tensioner work properly. On the second run, however, the timing chain tensioner failed. I jerked everything back and made sure the spring clip was down to prevent the tensioner from pinching. With the clamp attached, I was able to insert the tensioner into the body with very little effort. Replaced the tensioner with an Audi OEM part and all is great. Again, the chains and guides are great. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT use the included timing chain tensioner. Buy original.
