I was skeptical about buying them just because they have to buy replacement 'filters'. When I received the product I was pleasantly surprised by their size, especially the large ones. In a large one I can fit a whole bag of grapes or a three pound container of strawberries and still have room to close the lid without touching the filter. The small one is a good size but barely fits in a 1lb container of strawberries which is a little disappointing as I buy these fruits often. The lid of the containers doesn't snap or tear, so when handling the container I have to be careful not to grab the lid or all my fruit/vegetables will fly out. The lid also has a white square at the top where you hold the filter. It slides from side to side and snaps off to replace the filter. When removed, the interior shows you which fruits and vegetables can and cannot be used with air holes. Inside the bin is a basket that can be used as a colander or removed entirely to free up space. I prefer to leave it on because I always put my fruit in a basket, then rinse it under the sink and store it in the fridge (although I only do this with fruit that can be washed and doesn't spoil faster). I am surprised at how long the filter has lasted with me and how it has extended the life of the items I keep in bins. When I buy strawberries it usually takes a week and a half for mold to show up, but with this filter canister I had a three pound canister of strawberries that lasted almost a month before showing any signs of mold.
