PROSExcellent sound quality. I downloaded the UE Boom app to increase the base as others have suggested. This is a great feature and seems to stay active on the speaker regardless of which phone is currently controlling it (only 1 can at a time). I'm comparing this to the JBL Charge 3 which doesn't have a dedicated app to save mixer settings etc. DISADVANTAGE. Mainly control buttons: I wish the speaker had play buttons (FF, rewind, etc.) The volume buttons are hard to press without holding the speaker with one hand and squeezing with the other hand. "Press to pause and resume" is a bit buggy. doesn't always work and there is a lag that makes me try too many times and keep pausing/playing it. Comparison with JBL Charge 3 I really think JBL is still better, but it can't match the crystal clear highs of the UE Boom 2. Some songs sound better on different speakers and it depends on what type of music you listen to and personal preference. I like the highs better but my husband likes more bass so he prefers the JBL Charge 3 but wanted the UE Boom 2 as a "street speaker" as it's about 1/3 smaller than the Charge 3. The larger size allows the Charge 3 to broadcast, the sound is better in a larger room and it sounds like you're actually at a rock concert. I had to scream to be heard as a rock song played next to us.
