Review on 🎥 GVM 100W LED Video Light with CRI 97, Dimmable Spotlight, App-Controlled Continuous Output Lighting for Portrait Photography, Video Recording, and Outdoor Shooting – 3200-5600K Bi-Color Daylight Balance by Leo Govindan

When I was finishing up my studio video lighting I bought a 100w GVM as a second two tone add on. I already have a Weeylite Ninja 400 and two 80w GVM bulbs. I loved the form factor, brightness and simplicity of these well-balanced 80W daylight bulbs and was excited to tweak the color temperature of my second 100W studio light. Please note that in my photos above I will include 80w GVM bulbs for comparison purposes. First of all, the design is similar to other GVM 80W lamps and the tripod mount mounting mechanism looks identical. Sturdy enough for light Bowens mounts like the included bounce plate, but I've found heavy monstrous softboxes like the 60" Neewer tend to sag a bit. This is by no means a deal breaker, but it does take a little more effort to achieve perfect alignment with heavy, oversized lures. I love that the controller and power supply are integrated into the flashlight, making installation easy and compact. I don't have to worry about a dangling controller and a large power supply between the light source and the wall, which greatly simplifies installation. This (and the included carrying case) make it convenient to use in the field. The included cord is 12-15 feet long and is very convenient to use without the need for additional extension cords or bulky adapters. The controller itself is simple and easy to use. It has a power button, two knobs (one for intensity/brightness, one for color temperature), up/down arrows, and a mode. The up/down and mode buttons are used to wirelessly connect multiple lights and control them through different channels. The built-in bright display clearly shows intensity percentage, color temperature in Kelvin, mode (master/slave) and channel. The intensity can be adjusted from 1 to 100%, the color temperature can be adjusted from 3200-5600K in 100 Kelvin increments. You can also control the light with an app (iOS and Android) via WiFi. As with other lightweight apps I've used such as B. Weeylite, the app is installed directly from the APK and not through a certified app store. I'm always a bit nervous about it, but I haven't had any problems. The application is very simple and easy to use. Just connect to the Wi-Fi network created by Light and enter the password. You can control brightness, color temperature and channel in the app. If I had a bigger studio I would use the app more, but for me it's easiest to use a controller. Revain asked me to rate the remote from 1 to 5 stars. To be clear, a physical remote control is not included. I gave it 5 stars because I can control it remotely via WiFi using the app. The fan noise is acceptable at maximum brightness. It's not as quiet as the GVM 80W or the Weeylite Ninja 400, but it doesn't strike me as very loud and I don't find it noticeable in my videos. In terms of brightness, I think it's about the same slightly lower than GVM 80W balanced daylight bulbs. It's rated at 3500 lux at 1m compared to 80w rated at 3100 lux at 1m, but I felt it was a bit dimmer with both lights at 100%. I tried to capture it in the photos above. These little 80 watt flashlights are a great size and great value! Because I have a very bright key light, I don't need this light to be at maximum brightness and it fulfills my needs as a fill, background, or accent light. Nevertheless, I like the high color rendering index of 97+, which ensures excellent color rendering. Looks really good! I have purchased many lights over the past few months while setting up my studio and I am impressed with the quality and value of this light and the 80w GVM lights. There are plenty of options and GVM is definitely not far behind offering the best value for money in this space. The dual color feature gives me the ability to tweak the settings depending on what I need to capture. In conclusion, I really appreciate the simplicity and lightness of this flashlight. It's great quality, great value for money and I use it often! I recommend!
