Review on ๐Ÿ”ฆ Cygolite Hotrod 110 Lumen Front Light & Hotrod 50 Tail Light: USB Rechargeable Bike Light Combo Set - Illuminate the Road with Powerful Visibility by John Blanco

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Another quality set from Cygolite

Another good set of headlights from Cygolite. Cygolite is a trusted brand that really delivers on their light output needs, unlike most of the junk fakes you'll find at Revain. Just be aware of what it is and what it isn't. The darkest continuous setting, which corresponds to the maximum specified runtime, is quite dark. This is good for showing your position when driving in a group at night (so as not to blind people in front or behind you), but not enough for visibility when driving alone at night. The front light is also quite bright, but the pattern is widely scattered. . This is normal as I don't think the front light is meant to replace a focused headlight. The scattered pattern of both lights is actually a treat if you use them properly. These lights are more to be seen than to see things. I tilt both lights down slightly and use them continuously to make myself more visible to motorists at close range in city traffic. A wide beam angle means you're emitting a wide spectrum of light that's visible from all directions. Since many of the most serious accidents between motorcycles and cars occur at relatively low speeds, for example in places like intersections, this omnidirectional close-up vision is very valuable. I also use a rear flasher and appropriate headlamps for good nighttime visibility. This may all sound like an exaggeration, but I mostly ride in the big city, which consistently ranks in the top 10 most dangerous places in the US, so I ride my bike very carefully. In addition, they are light. I weigh all the details myself. The front weight was 36 grams and the rear 35 grams. This included a tether.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Protection
