great watch Too bright [SOLVED]

Great watch. The 14 inch red numbers are quite large for a bedroom but work well and will be accurate to the second in a couple of weeks. This is a very, very bright display, too bright for my bedroom. I solved this problem very nicely and easily with 2 coats of window tint. At my local auto parts store I bought a roll of Gila Window Tint, 35%, Regular Smoked, the cheapest version, less than $10. Cut 2 pieces of foil covering the flat surface of the window. dial. It doesn't have to be exact. Then take a small bowl of water, add some soap or some washing-up liquid. Dampen a washcloth with this soapy water and apply liberally to the face of the watch. Then apply the first layer of tinted film and, starting from the middle, use a dry cloth to press out the air bubbles evenly towards the edge with your finger, it doesn't have to be perfect. KY based lubricants such as KY jelly or vegetable oil. I have found that the second layer of foil does not adhere to the first layer with soapy water. Squeeze out air bubbles. You can also just stick the foil on the dial. If the clock had a dimmer it would be 5 stars. [Edit 01] It's been over a month and the clock in my bedroom is still working great since I fixed the brightness issue. I've found temperature to be very helpful as it sets the tone for the night. During the last month, the accuracy is maintained with an accuracy of 3 seconds. Excellent work.
