I installed these lights on my desk. I'm in the furniture business so I haven't cut the light bar to size yet in case I want to use it on my bookshelf instead. I love new lights and colored lights. I use them for sensory issues to help me focus and relax. I was wanting something like this for my TV area or bookshelf but I've seen photos online of people using them around their desk and it looks good too. The lighting seems to work very well. There are many colors and functions that you can use with the app, which also works very well. I tried to upload a video where the light changes color but I'm only allowed to upload one video. I uploaded a video with a music feature where the lights change with the music. (My video shows highlights of lights that didn't look the way it looked in person. This looks better in person.) You can also change the musical lighting effects. The remote control works well too. The only downside is that it has to be pointed at the sensor to work. Also, I forgot to mention that the app also works with some other lights. I bought color changing lightbulbs that work with Alexa on Prime Day and they work with the same app. It had plenty of connectors to lengthen or shorten your strips. My only real complaint is that there is only one AC adapter and WiFi. controller. If I want to put several on opposite sides of the room, they both don't reach the power source. Overall I think they're really good. I didn't expect so much to come out of these tiny lights.
